About

Apostles Fellowship is an alternative church gathering of authentic people who simply meet around a meal, Bible study, and prayer.

We are an independent church ministry that is self-governed, autonomous, and not funded or directed by any other organization, congregation, or denomination. We partner in support of missions with various Christian ministries in the cooperative work of the Great Commission, both local and global.

OUR MISSION…

Apostles Fellowship seeks to disciple others to grow in Christian faith, biblical hope, and love for one-another “while we wait for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13, HCSB).

OUR APPROACH…

Like the New Testament Christians, we do church more like a family than an event and more like a round table discussion than theater entertainment. We enjoy a casual, laid-back experience, where we can enjoy a meal, talk together, be at ease with sharing – as much or as little as one may want – and grow our faith in a personal way, recognizing that Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20, HCSB).

We do church more like a good interactive Sunday School class than like a corporate worship service. Small group, but big in importance and meaningfulness.

OUR BELIEFS…

Apostles Fellowship is an evangelical church ministry that does not have individual membership requirements, creeds, or theological tests of fellowship. We are made up of varying denominational backgrounds.

Apostles Fellowship believes in encouraging, equipping, and expressing faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:4-9), hope through God’s Word (Romans 15:4), and love for one-another (John 13:34-35“while we wait for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13, HCSB).

I. Faith in Jesus Christ - Ephesians 2:4-9

  • we believe that all men are saved by faith alone and only through the substitutionary birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins (1 Timothy 2:5);
  • we seek to live that faith in our daily lives, recognizing His life as a model of behavior and response to our culture, society, and circumstances (Romans 1:8);
  • we acknowledge our faith in Christ through our public confession of baptism by immersion (Matthew 3:13-16);
  • we anticipate the promise of His second coming through the practice of communion and hope in the resurrection of the dead and the awarded gift of immortality in Heaven (1 Corinthians 15:50-581 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

II. Hope Through God’s Word - Romans 15:4

  • we believe that the standard of right and wrong, truth and error, righteousness and sinfulness, are clarified for us from Genesis to Revelation (2 Timothy 3:16);
  • we recognize Scriptures as God’s plan of redemption, will for fallen humanity, and direction for our decisions (2 Timothy 3:15);
  • we seek to hold the Bible above man’s traditions, denominational positions, or religious teachings, because we recognize it as divinely inspired through the Holy Spirit of God (2 Peter 1:21);
  • we see the intended role of the church, both local and universal, individual and corporate, male and female, to be the entrusted witness of the gospel, doctrine, and truth (1 Timothy 3:15Matthew 28:16-20).

III. Love for One-Another - John 13:34-35

  • we believe that the ultimate witness of our Christian faith is our love for one-another as expressed in attitude, actions, and missional efforts that rely on the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, which is the giver of God’s unconditional love within human hearts (Romans 5:5);
  • we acknowledge God’s love through the revelation of creation and our role of stewardship even in the midst of sin, sinfulness, and spiritual conflicts (Romans 1:20);
  • we seek to affirm God’s love in our marriages as a lifelong union between a man and a woman in mutual respect and companionship, and within the family structure as parents and siblings, and as children of God before men (Genesis 1:26-28);
  • we recognize the power of God’s love to transcend social, political, racial, economical, national, or cultural differences for peace and cooperation in the advancement of God’s Kingdom here on earth (John 15:12;John 3:16).
